For Coachees
Coaching does not end when the conversation ends.
The hour matters. What happens in the ordinary days around it matters more — because that is where a way of seeing is either practised or quietly abandoned.
Something is often clear inside a coaching conversation and unavailable three days later, in traffic, in a meeting, in a familiar argument. Not because the insight was false, but because the old way of seeing is well practised and the new one is not.
Your private space is there for those days. It is somewhere to notice what happened without being asked to perform progress, and somewhere to return to your own words when the moment has passed.
It is private by design. What you write belongs to you; what your coach records for their own preparation stays with them. There are no scores, no streaks and nothing designed to make you feel behind.
What accumulates instead is a record of a changing observer — small shifts in what you notice, what you request, what you decline and what you now consider possible.
The private experience
Four things it holds.
Reflection
What you took from the conversation, written in your own words. Your reflection is the highest authority on what you learned — nobody summarises it for you.
Commitments
Not tasks assigned to you, but declarations you chose: what you intend, why it matters, and how you will know it happened.
Learning
The distinctions that stayed with you, the moods you began to recognise, the sentences you stopped saying automatically.
Preparation
The questions and situations you want to bring next time, gathered as they occur rather than remembered under pressure.
